Welcome to a view of the latest goings on at Breed Magazine.

In the midst of the start of Breed Magazine, two events of epic importance were taking place in the dog world at the same time.

Due to the celebrity, talent and high profile of Atlanta Falcons Quarterback Michael Vick, the general public became well aware of pitbulls , bloodsports , and what goes on more often than most care to imagine. Although he did not invent this underground pastime, he has admitted involvement, turned himself into the hands of the justice system and is paying his debt as we speak.

What we found was that the general public did not know too much about the ongoing political issue concerning “Breed Specific Legislation” (BSL). In a nutshell, BSL is enabling the U.S. Government to give local cities the right to say what breed of dog you can and cannot  own. Taking away your rights of what type of dog you choose to keep as a pet and family member.

Although Breed will operate as a print magazine at some point in the near future, at this time we feel it much more necessary to focus our time to spread the word of this possible extinction of a beautiful breed of dog in the form of a film documentary.
